Project Overview

This prototype home, developed in collaboration with Home Builder company, explores a new structural approach for future-ready, sustainable housing. As a leading custom home provider, our client was seeking a system that not only improves speed and quality, but also aligns with sustainability goals and can adapt to unique homeowner designs.

Stact delivered a BubbleDeck-based semi-precast floor system that reduces carbon footprint, shortens construction time, and simplifies installation — making it suitable for repeat use across various site conditions without compromising design flexibility.

Key Challenges & Solutions

Challenge :

Home Builder company needed a system that works for non-standard homes — each one tailored to individual homeowner needs, built in varying locations with tight site access and close neighbors. These homes aren’t built on wide-open project sites, so the system had to be quiet, clean, and low-impact. In addition, the builder required a method that general contractors can adopt easily, without the need for specialized teams or complex training.

Solution :

Stact’s semi-precast BubbleDeck system offered the right blend of sustainability, flexibility, and simplicity. The system reduces concrete and steel use — cutting embodied carbon — while also minimizing on-site wet work, noise, and material waste. It’s light, fast to install, and adaptable to each custom floor plan. Importantly, it’s easy to integrate into the workflow of standard residential contractors, enabling our client to scale a greener, faster, and smarter way to build homes — one house at a time.
