What is BubbleDeck?

BubbleDeck is a two-way voided slab system that replaces heavy, solid concrete with strategically
positioned recycled plastic balls, eliminating concrete where it’s structurally unnecessary.

The result is a lighter, stronger, greener floor system — designed for long spans, faster installation, and reduced structural mass.

How It Works

Recycled plastic spheres are embedded in the low-stress center of the slab, reducing weight while preserving full bending strength.

A top-and-bottom steel mesh grid enables true biaxial force distribution — eliminating internal beams and enabling longer, beamless spans.

Semi-precast panels arrive at site ready to install, then monolithically poured to achieve full slab continuity.

The result? A floor that behaves like a two-way flat slab — only lighter, faster, and smarter.

Structural Design Compliance (Eurocode 2 & ACI)

BubbleDeck is officially incorporated into the European design standard Eurocode 2 and is fully compatible with ACI (American Concrete Institute) guidelines. This means it can be treated and designed like a homogenous solid slab — ensuring simplicity for engineers and trust for owners.

Fire Resistance: REI 120 Rating

BubbleDeck slabs meet REI 120 fire performance requirements — meaning they maintain load-bearing capacity (R), integrity (E), and insulation (I) for at least 120 minutes during a fire. This provides critical protection in both residential and commercial buildings.

Vibration Control (VC-C Certified)

BubbleDeck achieves vibration performance levels suitable for sensitive uses like hospitals, laboratories, and offices. It meets or exceeds VC-C vibration criteria, offering a comfortable environment even under dynamic load conditions.

Thermal Performance (Up to +39%)

While not a formal insulator, BubbleDeck improves thermal resistance by 17–39% compared to solid concrete slabs of equal thickness — due to the internal air pockets. This contributes to energy savings and a more comfortable indoor environmentBD_ThermalResistance.

Acoustic Performance (Airborne&Impact)

The voided structure helps reduce airborne sound and dampens impact noise. Acoustic lab tests (available upon request) confirm its advantages over hollow-core planks or thin prestressed slabs, particularly in residential or multi-floor settings.
